I hope your new year is off to a fantastic start. The last few months have been challenging, to say the least, for the Baylor family. But thankfully, those challenges also have been opportunities for us to improve and become better able to meet the needs of all Baylor students. I assure you, we are taking full advantage of the opportunities given to us, and Baylor will be stronger going forward.
As we continue to navigate our way toward our better future, there are some extraordinary things happening along the way in Baylor Athletics, including the thrilling success of our Men’s and Women’s Basketball programs. Both teams are currently ranked #2 nationally. Additionally, none of us could have accurately anticipated the positive progress Matt Rhule has made with completing his staff and with the program’s 2017 recruiting class. While there still may be few hurdles to overcome in athletics, our immediate and long-term future is filled with optimism.
The “B” Association is off to another outstanding year with 2017 President Dusty Sanderson (Tr/Mgr, 1976-79) at the helm. Dusty’s enthusiasm, work ethic, and commitment is inspiring for all of us who know him and who have worked with him. I expect great things to come for our association in 2017.
To help keep you informed of the latest things occurring at the “B” Association and in the lives of our members, we will increase frequency of the Letterwinners Update, the association’s official newsletter. Beginning this month, the Letterwinners Update will be distributed to you via email on a monthly basis. The newsletter will include member features, upcoming events, and the recent happenings within the association. We hope that you will enjoy it. To help us stay up with the exciting things happening in your life, please forward us any noteworthy news that you would like to share with our letterwinners family. We will do our best to include it in the monthly report.
Finally, as always, thank you for your loyal support.
