The “B” Association and Baylor Athletics will recognize former Baylor offensive tackle, Fred Miller, as a 2022 Baylor Football Legend at the Baylor vs Kansas Homecoming game on October 22nd at McLane Stadium. 

Miller was a four-year letterwinner for the Bears from 1992-1995.  He was a 3-time All-Conference honoree as an offensive tackle, earning a unanimous selection in 1994 while helping usher the Bears to the ’94 Alamo Bowl. In his five-year stint at Baylor, the Bears earned three post-season bowl invitations.

Miller went on to a 13-year career in the National Football League, playing for the St. Louis Rams, the Tennessee Titans, and the Chicago Bears. He played in two Super Bowls during his tenure in professional football, winning the 1999 NFL Championship with the Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV.

While with the Titans, Miller demonstrated his love for the community by donating $1 million to fund the Nurses for Newborns Foundation in Nashville, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing healthcare, education, and parenting skills to at-risk families. At the time, it was the largest single-player donation ever given by an NFL player. Miller extended his philanthropy to Baylor by providing financial support to the Bear Foundation, the “B” Association, and the construction of the Simpson Athletic and Academic Center.  Miller is also the father of current Baylor senior offensive lineman Grant Miller.
