The Baylor “B” Association is proud to recognize the recipient of the 2023 Bobby Jones Memorial Award presented annually to an outstanding senior player for Leadership, Sportsmanship and Team Play during practice for and performance in the Bears’ Homecoming football game the previous year. This award was established to honor the memory of the late former Baylor quarterback, Bobby Jones.
Today, we salute former Baylor linebacker Dillon Doyle for his outstanding performance and leadership in last year’s 35-23 Homecoming win over the Kansas Jayhawks.
A native of Iowa City, Iowa, Doyle completed his decorated Baylor career in 2022
as a first-team Academic All-America selection and he was named Big 12 Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year. On the field, playing both linebacker and fullback, he became the first Baylor and Big 12 player to ever earn first or second team all-league honors at an offensive and defensive position.
