“B” Association to Honor Former Baylor Quarterback Bryce Petty

The “B” Association and Baylor Athletics will recognize former Baylor quarterback, Bryce Petty, as a 2021 Baylor Football Legend at the Baylor vs Oklahoma game on November 13 at McLane Stadium. 

A four-year letterwinner for the Bears from 2011-2014, Petty was a two-time All-American quarterback who led the Bears to back-to-back Big 12 Conference championships.  He started his final two seasons at Baylor, completing his college career with 31 school records, two Big 12 records, and one NCAA record. He was a member of the winningest class in Baylor Football history.  In five seasons with the program, he and his teammates led the Bears to a school-record five straight bowl games, two conference championships (2013 & 2014 Big 12 titles), and two bowl victories. Petty is a two-time All-Big 12 honoree having thrown for 8,195 yards and 62 TDs and rushed for 338 years and 21 TDs in 36 career games. He finished 7th in the 2013 Heisman voting and 10th in 2014.

Following his career at Baylor, the New York Jets selected Petty in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He play for the Jets from 2015-2017, then he was picked up by the Miami Dolphins in 2018.

Petty currently serves as a partner with The Provisions Group, focused on building athletes’ purpose outside of sports, by putting them in business and equity positions, as well as growing their brand. He and his wife Jordan, reside in Colleyville with their daughter, Rivi.
