This year’s Baylor Athletic Honor Team will be the six-time NCATA National Champions, Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling Team! Members of all six national championship teams will be recognized at the Baylor Athletic Hall of Fame and Wall of Honor Induction Banquet on Friday, October 29th, at the Waco Convention Center, and again on-field at the Baylor vs. Texas game on Saturday, October 30th.
While the Baylor men’s basketball team may have claimed its first-ever National Championship earlier this year, the Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling team was looking to secure its sixth national title! Not only had they won five previous National Championships, but they had won five in a row, from 2015-2019, and due to the pandemic, were still the reigning champions going into the 2021 NCATA National title competition. Ranked #2, the Baylor Bears were successful in securing their sixth-straight national championship, defeating the top-ranked Azusa Pacific Cougars. Boasting a career record of 108-5 over 11 seasons as a head coach, Felecia Mulkey and her teams have won 10 National Championships, including four during her tenure at the University of Oregon. Her programs have produced 27 All-Americans with six of them earning Athlete of the Year awards. Now an NCAA Emerging Sport for Women programs in Division I, Baylor’s Acrobatics and Tumbling teams have set the standard of success in one of the most precision and danger-filled sports in all of college athletics.
Please join us this Saturday at McLane Stadium as we recognize the 2021 Baylor Athletic Honor Team, the six-time National Champions, Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling teams!
