“B” Association to Honor Former Baylor Wide Receiver Dominique Zeigler

The “B” Association and Baylor Athletics will recognize former Baylor wide receiver, Dominique Zeigler, as a 2021 Baylor Football Legend at the Baylor vs West Virginia game on October 9th at McLane Stadium.

Zeigler earned four varsity letters for the Bears from 2003-06 playing as Baylor’s wide receiver. Fondly known as “Ziggy” by players and coaches, Zeigler is best remembered for catching the game-winning touchdown and two-point conversion passes (both from current Baylor Quarterback Coach Shawn Bell) in overtime that upset No. 16 Texas A&M, 35-34, in 2004.  Zeigler served as team captain during his senior season in 2006.

By the end of his career at Baylor, he was ranked 2nd all-time in Receptions (166), 6th in Receiving Yards (1,923) and he tied for 6th in Touchdowns Scored (13).  Following his Baylor career, Zeigler signed as an undrafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers and played four seasons in the NFL before retiring in 2011 following an ACL injury.

Zeigler now serves as a high school teacher and coach at Killeen High School in Killeen, TX, where he was recently voted Staff Member of the Month!

Please join us this Saturday in giving a warm Baylor welcome to 2021 Football Legend, Dominique Zeigler.
