Lady Bears Basketball Captures 11th Consecutive Big XII Regular Season Championship

All they do is win! 

Last week, the Lady Bears secured the 2020-21 Big 12 women’s basketball regular season championship with a win over the Texas Longhorns. The title is the 11th consecutive and 12th overall for the Lady Bears. The 11-season title streak is the longest active mark in the country.  Baylor wrapped up conference play last night in the Ferrell Center with a commanding 96-73 win over West Virginia, finishing the regular season with a 21-1 overall record and 17-1 conference record.

The Lady Bears now move on to the Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Championship Tournament which kicks off this Thursday (March 11-14) at Municipal Auditorium, in Kansas City, Mo.  The Lady Bears will enter the Championship as the No. 1 seed and have won 10 postseason titles, including the last two Championships in 2018 and 2019.  Baylor has a first round bye and is scheduled to play on Friday, March 12th, at 1:30pm, against with winner of the TCU vs. Kansas State game.  The game will be broadcast live on ESPNU.  To stay up-to-date on tournament scheduling and game results, click here.
