Student-Athlete Mentors Needed

As you know, student-athletes have active schedules that can make it difficult to develop relationships with professionals who can assist in guiding them through their college to career transitions. As a letterwinner, you hold a special connection with our current student-athletes competing as Baylor Bears!

With over 35 mentees who sought mentorship in 2019, there is a need for mentorship from successful alumni who are able to connect with, assist in developing, and invest in the lives of our young professionals as we continue to Prepare Champions For Life!

As a mentor, you will be paired with a sophomore or junior young professional to serve as a support system as they begin to plan their college to career transitions. Your commitment would be to attend our mentor program orientation in the Fall where we will discuss mentor program guidelines and you will meet your mentee. Monthly you will be asked to have a minimum of one “Interaction” with your mentee. Interactions will need to be approved by Baylor’s Compliance office, and will have specific steps to be logged and approved that will be outlined during our Fall orientation. Additionally, our Character Formation department within the Student-Athlete Center for Excellence will be organizing various events during each semester for our mentors and mentees to attend.
