Dr. Michael McFarland (Football 1989-92) and U.S. Representative Colin Allred (Football 2001-05) participated in a virtual panel Town Hall hosted by The Baylor Black Alumni Alliance and The Baylor Alumni Latino Group. Dr. McFarland is Superintendent of Crowley ISD and currently serving on the Baylor Board of Regents while Allred is a civil rights attorney and U.S. Congressman representing the 32nd District of Texas.

Ryan Baca (Golf 2003-06) won the All Pro Tour 2020 Texarkana Children’s Charities Open at Texarkana Country Club with a final score of -20. Baca was inducted into the Baylor Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019. Fellow Bear Garrett May (Golf 2016-18) tied for 9th place at -15.

Hailey Cowan (Acrobatics & Tumbling 2011-14) was featured in an article by the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association about her transition from an All-American acrobatics & tumbling student-athlete to a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. Cowan is affiliated with Blitz Sports MMA and fights out of her hometown of Waco.

Michael “Big Mike” Johnson (Football 1994-97) and his staff at Michael Johnson State Farm partnered with other businesses in the McKinney area to provide free meals and COVID-19 testing to the community of McKinney, TX.
