Letterwinner Shout Outs – June 2020

Dr. Brittany Bruce Odom (Track 2008-11) started a position as a Pediatrician at Sarah Bush Lincoln’s Pediatric Clinic in Mattoon, IL. After graduating from Baylor in 2012 with a bachelor of science in Health Science Studies, Dr. Odom earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2016. She completed three years of pediatric residency training at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, and most recently worked as an urgent care pediatrician in Orlando, FL.

Dominique Zeigler (Football 2004, Track 2004) was featured in the Waco Tribune’s first of a series of “Where Are They Now?” segments. Zeigler is currently coaching at Killeen High School as the girls’ track and field coach and football assistant.

Four Baylor men’s basketball letterwinners will compete in The Basketball Tournament next month. The Basketball Tournament is an open-application, single-elimination tournament played each summer in the United States. This year, TBT will feature 24 teams and offer $1 million in winner-take-all prize money. The tournament will be held in Columbus, OH, July 4-14 and broadcast on ESPN. One team competing for the title will be Heartfire which will be led by legendary former Valpairso head coach and father of Scott Drew, Homer Drew, and includes four former Baylor Bears, Isaiah Austin (2013-14), Tweety Carter (2007-10), Quincy Miller (2012), and Ishmail Wainwright (2014-17).
