Faith Beaty Named Board of Regent Representative

At its spring meeting, the Baylor University Board of Regents approved new leadership, committee chairs, and Regents. Every three years, the Board of Regents vote to approve a new letterwinner who is nominated by the “B” Association to serve as a representative for the organization. The position was most recently held by Dusty Sanderson and previously held by Debbie Mann and Phil Duren. On June 1, 2020, Faith Cederholm Beaty (Basketball 1978-79) began her three-year term as the “B” Association’s new Board of Regent Representative.

Beaty is part of the global communication leadership team for DNV GL Business Assurance, currently serving as the director of marketing and communications for the Americas. She also has top-level experience in business operations, having held roles ranging from director of sales and marketing and director of business development to chief executive officer.

Faith Beaty has worked for DNV GL since 1999. In addition to completing the DNV GL management development program at IMD Business School and The Leadership Vanguard acceleration and leadership development programme, she holds an MBA with a focus in eBusiness from University of Phoenix and a BS in fashion merchandising and marketing from Texas Women’s University (TWU).

Beaty served on the board of the “B” Association from 2001 to 2005 and became the first woman to serve as president of the organization in 2005. She also served on the board of the Baylor Bear Foundation from 2015 to 2017.
