  1. Did you football coaches receive a packet on the death of my Baylor football husband, Royce Glen West, who died of Alzheimer’s/Dementia Disease on December 20, 2019? The packet pointed out a few honors and when he played.
We met at Baylor on December 15, 1957, and dated our four years there. Being a Golden Girl twirler, I was on the front row for his games, and it all culminated when the Baylor Band rode our own special train to the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida, his senior and final season. When he was soon drafted by the Denver Broncos, I had already gone there in January to begin my educational career never dreaming of the twelve American Football League teams at the time, he would follow me to Denver, what a love story that lasted exactly the four Baylor dating years and then he died on the exact date of our 58th Wedding Anniversary bringing forth sixty-two of the most wonderful dating and marriages ever! Sincerely, Dr. Syntha Traughber West, Baylor Class of 1960
