The “B” Association and Baylor Athletics will recognize former running back, Jay Finley, as a 2019 Baylor Football Legend at the Baylor vs. Texas Tech Homecoming game on Saturday, October 12.

A four-year letterwinner for the Bears from 2007-10, Finley became one of the elite ball carriers in Baylor Football history when he broke the school’s single-season rushing record in 2010 finishing the season with 1,218 rushing yards. Following his record-breaking performance that year, Finley was tabbed All-American (Honorable Mention) by Sports Illustrated. He ranked 4^th in the Big 12 with a 93.7 yards per game rushing average, and he finished his collegiate career as the Baylor’s 3^rd leading rusher with 2,660 career rushing yards. After his senior season, Finley was invited to compete with the country’s top football players in the Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Football Game, and in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals selected him in the 7^th round.

Finley currently resides in the New Orleans, Louisiana, area and works as a sports performance trainer.
