“B” Association to Honor Former Running Back Jay Finley

The “B” Association and Baylor Athletics will recognize former running back, Jay Finley, as a 2019 Baylor Football Legend at the Baylor vs. Texas Tech Homecoming game on Saturday, October 12.

A four-year letterwinner for the Bears from 2007-10, Finley became one of the elite ball carriers in Baylor Football history when he broke the school’s single-season rushing record in 2010 finishing the season with 1,218 rushing yards. Following his record-breaking performance that year, Finley was tabbed All-American (Honorable Mention) by Sports Illustrated. He ranked 4th in the Big 12 with a 93.7 yards per game rushing average, and he finished his collegiate career as the Baylor’s 3rd leading rusher with 2,660 career rushing yards. After his senior season, Finley was invited to compete with the country’s top football players in the Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Football Game, and in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals selected him in the 7th round.

Finley currently resides in the New Orleans, Louisiana, area and works as a sports performance trainer.

Please join the “B” Association this Saturday in giving a warm Baylor welcome to 2019 Baylor Football Legend, Jay Finley.
