The “B” Association will adjust its dues structure in 2019 in order to meet rising benefit costs and to offer additional membership options aimed at appealing to a broader demographic of potential members. Among these adjustments will be an increase impacting only Premium dues. This will be the first dues increase since 2014.
Establishing the new dues structure is a result of four specific factors: 1) compliance with new tax laws pertaining to private member benefits, 2) rising costs of benefits made available to all members, 3) additional costs of expanding programming to assist current student-athletes, and 4) careful analysis of increases in yearly operational expenses.
We realize that dues increases are never popular decisions, but member dues are the “B” Association’s primary revenue source and it is imperative that we keep up with today’s rising benefit costs, while simultaneously enhancing our efforts to provide quality services and support to all letterwinners.
It is our sincere hope that these necessary adjustments will be understood and well-received by you, our valued members, and that we agree that every day is a Great Day to be a Baylor Bear.
