Spring 2019 has been a very busy time for the “B” Association. Aside from day to day operations, the association hosted several exciting alumni events including the newly introduced Sic ’em Bears Double-Header Basketball Luncheon and Breakfast with the Bears (private breakfast and viewing of a spring football practice). Also, the association hosted the annual Fightin’ Bear Golf Classic for the 24th consecutive year and the annual Track Reunion BBQ at the Michael Johnson Invitational. These important events offer Baylor letterwinners the opportunity to return to Waco and reconnect with their old teammates, meet current Baylor student-athletes, and to re-engage with their respective sports programs.
Additionally, the “B” Association partnered with Baylor’s Student-Athlete Center for Excellence in hosting the annual Bears in the Workforce event where, each year, former athletes meet with current athletes to share their unique experiences regarding how they transitioned to their current professional careers.
Finally, we hope you are able to join us at the upcoming, Baylor Night with the Texas Rangers on Friday, June 21st, as the Rangers take on the Chicago White Sox at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The Rangers will recognize Baylor Football’s 2018 Texas Bowl Champions on the field during the pre-game activities and a member from the team will toss out the ceremonial first pitch.
