Michael McFarland (Football 1989-92) was elected by the Baylor Board of Regents as an at-large Regent to serve a three-year term beginning June 1, 2018. He earned All-Southwest Conference honors as a strong safety in 1991, currently ranks among the top 10 in Career Interceptions at Baylor, and was recognized as a Baylor Football Legend in 2017. Dr. McFarland is currently the Superintendent of Crowley Independent School District.

Kristie Brown (Women’s Basketball 1990-93) received the Doctor of Nursing Practice Excellence in Nursing Award and delivered the Commencement Address at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, School of Nursing Graduation Ceremony in May 2018. Dr. Brown currently serves as a nurse practitioner and team leader at Parkland Health and Hospital System’s Rees-Jones Trauma Center. Her expertise as a Doctor of Nursing Practice leader has also been recognized by Parkland in her recent promotion to Advanced Practice Provider Surgical Specialty Team Lead.
Bret Crook (Football 1991-93) was promoted to Chief of Police of Woodway, Texas. Crook was Woodway’s first K9 officer in 1999, and was promoted to Sergeant shortly after that. He graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy in 2003 and served as Woodway’s Assistant Director of Public Safety since 2014.

Mitch Fogle (Basketball 1990) was inducted into the Clear Lake High School Basketball Hall of Fame. Fogle was a member of the 1988 Baylor Men’s Basketball team that earned an invitation to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 38 years.
