GO RED SOX. I had to start off that way because if you are a Yankees fan…….this blog will not be your favorite. All jokes aside The Boston Red Sox have been and will always be my favorite MLB team. Whether they are on the worst losing streak or win the World Series they will always be #1. I still have not forgiven Johnny Damon for being traded to the Yankees back in the day. Also big papi has offically retired so it has been a sad year but 2017 world series here we come!♥
Coming from the state of Connecticut aka where UCONN is located, basketball is a big deal. The Uconn women are currently on a 78+ winning streak and are dominating. Growing up the men and women’s were always #1 and winning championships back to back. Whether I was watching them on tv or got to go to a game, it was always a big deal. I am glad that both Baylor’s teams are amazing this year and previously and we are slowly also becoming a basketball school. For me, basketball is more exciting than football because you could be losing by 22 at half time and come back quickly and win (go mens team). Yes that can happen in football but baskets happen quicker (usually) than touchdowns. I am hoping Baylor women and Uconn women end up in the championship together this year!
Football back home was just another sport. My high schools team did not win ANY games my entire time there. Losing that much wasn’t even a big deal, it was more of a running joke. The only reason you went to football games was to see your friends play. Now at Baylor my mindset has completely changed and football is life and I cannot imagine it differently.

Calculus 1309 is the math of calculus for business students. We started off on derivatives and moved to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on derivatives and anti derivatives. We first learn how to do the simple problems then incorporate them into word problems which pertain to business interactions. I like calculus because it makes sense to me and is useful in life and my future career.
Spanish 1402 is the language class in which I am currently enrolled in at Baylor. It is the second level of Spanish offered. I have been taught a lot of new grammar in the language that I did not previously know. Verb tenses like preteriete, past participle, subjunctive are a few examples. I have learned the vocabulary on how to tell someone directions, telling a command, getting ready and shopping terms.
MIS 1305 is the first level MIS class offered at Baylor. It is a class that teaches you about and how to use Microsoft excel and Microsoft office. It it also teaches you how to create a website and blog posts. This class is vital for business persons to have as skills for their careers.
