D. Lossless vs Lossy

Lossless: reduces file size without losing audio quality.

Common types of files- FLAC and WAV

Lossy: reduces file size by removing audio data that can’t be recovered.

Common types of files- MP3 and AAC

Differences between compression and normalization:

Compression cuts down the range of volume to make it more consistent throughout the piece

Normalization fixes the volume overall so that the highest points of volume don’t pass a certain threshold.
