2022 Homecoming Activities
Dear Arts & Sciences alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends –– below is a partial listing of the 2022 Homecoming activities sponsored by the College, its departments and its academic programs. We hope to see you on campus this week for Homecoming!
College of Arts & Sciences Reunion at the Homecoming Parade
All Baylor College of Arts & Sciences alumni and friends are invited to join Dean Lee Nordt, associate deans, department chairs and Arts & Sciences faculty and staff for a reunion as we watch the 2022 Baylor Homecoming Parade together the morning of Saturday, Oct. 22. There will be two well-marked Arts & Sciences tents located on the University Quadrangle filled with complimentary food, drinks and giveaway items. We hope to see you there. Sic ’em!
Art and Art History
This week through Friday, Oct. 21, Baylor’s Martin Museum, located in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center, will continue their Celebrating Traditions Homecoming event, which allows students to make a small mum for the big Homecoming game — while supplies last. Chemistry & Biochemistry
The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry will host a Homecoming reception on Friday, October 21, from 2-3 p.m. in the Baylor Sciences Building (BSB) Departmental Conference room D.208. Please come and visit with faculty, staff, alumni and friends from the past and present, as we celebrate the traditions of our alma mater. Hope to see you there!
Environmental Science
The Department of Environmental Science is hosting a sailgate/tailgate immediately after the Homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 22. The event is open to all ENV/EHS undergraduatess, graduate students, staff, faculty and alumni. The location is shown on the attached picture below. An RSVP to Erica Johnson at erica_c_johnson@baylor.edu by Friday, Oct. 21, is required for those attending.
Geosciences
The Department of Geosciences will host an Open House on Friday, Oct. 21 from 6-8 p.m. in the Fourth Floor Clock Tower of the Baylor Sciences Building (E-401).
History, Religion and Sociology
All Baylor history, religion and sociology alumni are invited to take part in “Tea at Tidwell” on Friday, Oct. 21, from 4-5 p.m. in the Foyer of the Tidwell Bible Building. You’re invited to take part in tours of the newly renovated Tidwell and have light refreshments.
Journalism, Public Relations and New Media
All Baylor journalism, public relations and new media alumni are invited to attend the annual Homecoming reception, to be held on Friday, Oct. 21, at 3 p.m. in Room 245 of the Castellaw Communications Building.
Medical Humanities
The Medical Humanities Program at Baylor University will hold its annual Baylor Alumni Doctors’ Alliance Homecoming Brunch on Saturday, Oct. 22, immediately following the Homecoming Parade. It will take place in the Atrium of the Baylor Sciences Building.
Registration options include:
- Individual (12 and up): $25
- Child (11 and under): Complimentary
- Medical Student/Residents/Faculty: Complimentary
All proceeds support the Michael E. DeBakey, Selma DeBakey, and Lois DeBakey Endowed Scholarship Fund.

Museum Studies
Baylor’s Mayborn Museum will have a float/trailer in the Homecoming parade. There will be students and staff members walking beside and riding on the trailer as they pass out candy, and also displaying a banner to promote the museum. Physics
The Department of Physics will have a Homecoming Reception on Friday, Oct. 21, from 4-5 p.m. in Room D-311 of the Baylor Sciences Building. Refreshments will be served.
Political Science
The Department of Political Science and the International Studies Program will have a Homecoming Reception for all PSC, IST, and Foreign Service alumni on Friday, Oct. 21, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the courtyard between Burleson Hall and the Draper Academic Building.
Psychology & Neuroscience
After a two-year hiatus, the Department of Psychology & Neuroscience is particularly excited to invite you to visit us at Homecoming! Please join us at our annual Homecoming Reception on Friday, Oct. 21, from 3-4:30 p.m. in the Roger E. Kirk Conference Room, which is Room B-309 within our department in the Baylor Sciences Building. Please drop by and say hello to your former professors, meet new faculty and staff, visit with your former classmates, and tour the facilities.
