Demolition of Baylor University’s historic Floyd Casey Stadium began earlier this spring, and as these photos taken on April 29, 2016, show, the process is nearing its completion. The stadium, originally called Baylor Stadium, hosted its first football game on Sept. 30, 1950. The name was changed to Floyd Casey Stadium in 1988, and the final football game played there was a Baylor victory over Texas in freezing conditions on Dec. 7, 2013. Floyd Casey Stadium was succeeded as the home for Baylor football by McLane Stadium on the Brazos River in the fall of 2014.
