Reflection Day 5: August 15, 2014

I won’t forget the friends I made here, learning how to be a leader in the community, and the ways that we can help stop poverty together. I also won’t forget how high the rates of poverty is in Waco.

To be an active citizen means you should participate in political parties, helping in the community, working on issues, and voting regularly.

This experience showed us that by working together we can stop poverty and when people see our project at 3:30 today we may help raise awareness of poverty to them when they may not have thought about it before.

We can raise money for charities by fundraising, making videos, and speaking out to our communities to share our ideas and make people convinced.

Our favorite thing about today was videoing Baylor students and interviewing them.

Reflection Day 4: August 14, 2014

I learned that anyone can help stop poverty.

Poverty affects everyone.

I learned that poverty is a worldwide problem.

Yes. You can help by having fundraisers to help homeless people find a home.

My favorite part about today was playing  icivics.Because I learned how laws were made.

I would like to learn more about how the government works.

What can we do as kids to help stop poverty.

Reflection: Day 2 08/12/2014

1. There is no perfect place, you have to change it

The world is a sad, broken world

We can make a difference

2. We chose poverty, because our city is trapped in it.

3. You have to get involved

4. You can’t be a bystander, you need to get involved, you can’t wait for someone to change the world for you

5. Research, I needed to sit down and rest, the pasta didn’t agree with me

6. Will poverty ever end
