Animal Adoption

Today we had a great time! First this morning Judge Starr & Congressman Bill Flores talked to us about there job and how their job effects the United States and our community. Also we worked on our community issue project and soon after that we had a yummy lunch. Then we worked on our project once again and finished it. Then we will have Dr. pepper floats and present our projects to our parents and friends later this afternoon!

This morning Council Member Austin came and told us what it means to be a good citizen. Then we played law craft and represent me which gave us a lot of points. After that we put together our issue and figured out every specific detail.

Today we went to the law school. We learned about laws, juries, and how to be an active citizen in the community. We got to meet Baylor Lawyers and learn what it takes to be lawyers.

We wished we could have acted out a trial like we did last year.

Today the City Manager came to speak to us. He told us how to be active citizens in our community.

In the afternoon people from the community came to talk to us about Poverty, Hunger, Animals, Elderly, and the Environment. We learned a lot and decided to do our project over Animal Abuse or Shelters.

This morning we learned what it means to be a good citizen and how to do it.

Before lunch we  worked on our poster and our slogan our group name was The Community Bear Givers and our slogan was we love bear ness

Then at the end of camp we did rotations and learned about problems in the community and how to fix them!!:)
