Describe the three most important things you learned today?

  • How to make an argument, how to be on a jury, what happens in court – Lauren
  • The court process, how poverty and crime are related, and how to be a jury – Jaret

How will learning about the trial process, jury process, and forming a good argument help you be a more active citizen?

It helps to know about the challenges they face – Hunter

It will bring those who should face justice – Nathan

  • I learned that the Pouge museum is very interesting – Abigail
  • What you have to do to be a city manager – Nathan
  • Civil Rights movement – Alisia

What community issue did your group choose to investigate? Why?

Poverty and the relationship between crime. We liked this idea best and it was a challenging project for us – Alisia

What have you learned about being an active citizen today?

  • I have learned that being an active citizen can make a big difference in my community – Abigail

Describe the three most important things you learned today?

  • There is a high population of animals and there is a need for neutering animals
  • A water shed is drainage from a river to a larger body of water.

What community issue did your group choose to investigate? Why?

Poverty with an emphasis on criminal issues.

What have you learned about being a citizen today?

A citizen is someone who is respectful and involved in their community.
