Essays on the Anatomy of Expression in Painting by Charles Bell (London: Longman, Hurst, Rees, and Orme, 1806)
Inscribed on the title-page by Robert Browning, Sr., with his notes on two back endpapers, and with penciled underlined text and markings in the margins, presumably by RB, Sr., throughout. The volume bears the bookplate of book dealer Bertram Dobell indicating it was purchased at the 1913 Sotheby Browning Collections sale, as well as the bookplate of book collector Revere Osler.
