Finally Found a Phage!

Yesterday was a great day because after almost two months and 10 samples I finally found a phage! It was my 7th sample that I retested using MSMEG, and showed phages clearly throughout all four dilutions. The next step was to pick a phage and dilute it. I chose to pick my phage from the 10(0) because it had the clearest phage activity present, and I made sure to pick from the edge in order to find one that has recently lysed. I’m anxious to go back to the lab tomorrow and see the results from my dilutions! Wish me luck!
