We traveled to Uffington for this hike on a very reflective hour-long bus ride. The first bus took us through the city, while the second bus took us through the hills and up close against the White Horse. Once we started the trail, our path was lined with trees on each side. The loving smell of the grass took over the entire experience up the footpath at the base of Dragon Hill and The White Horse. We went up onto Dragon Hill and the view was dazzling. The entire city seemed so distant and small yet so beautiful. We followed the footpath up to the White Horse, and as steep as it was, it was well worth the climb. The horse didn’t look quite like a horse to me, but I did understand why many people would believe that. The horse was rather delicate, and it said if anyone stepped on it then it could be even more eroded than it already was. We went and found the highest point in Oxfordshire. It was a fort base, and we took some fun Baylor and BU pictures up there. Then we came back down and rode back to the city.
