“Blur Circle,” the latest film by director Christopher J. Hansen, associate professor and chair of Baylor’s department of film and digital media, was recently named the winner of the audience award for best dramatic feature at the Woods Hole Film Festival. The eight-day festival, which featured 130 independent films from emerging filmmakers, was held earlier this month in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Brian Elliott, senior lecturer of film and digital media, wrote and produced the film.

The film tells the story of a single mother still frantically searching for her young son two years after his disappearance.  When she meets an unusual man with a shrouded past of his own, she is forced to reevaluate her life and the way she has responded to grief.

“Blur Circle” was previously screened at festivals across Texas and was named best feature film at the Deep in the Heart Film Festival in Waco this past February.  The work is scheduled to appear at events in Tennessee and Kansas later this year.
