Learn to search for research funding opportunities at the OVPR’s COS Pivot workshop

The Office of the Vice Provost for Research, in conjunction with Baylor University Libraries, presents a hands-on workshop to help faculty learn to search for funding opportunities more effectively using the COS Pivot database.

WHAT
Pivot is an online system that contains thousands of funding opportunities and RFPs from a wide range of sponsors including federal agencies, private foundations, non-profit organizations and more. The workshop will cover a number of topics including:

  • Establishing a Pivot account.
  • Viewing pre-selected funding opportunities based on prior research.
  • Searching for currently available opportunities and narrowing results with advanced search techniques.
  • Setting up weekly funding alert emails with newly listed opportunities.
