Our public relations team’s main job this semester is to assess the direction The Cove Waco and attempt to push them in the right direction in any areas we see there could be an improvement.

After speaking with The Cove’s executive director, Teri Holtkamp, this campaign will gravitate towards making the non-profit group more noticeable and focusing on becoming a well known place in Waco.

The first thing we evaluated as a group was The Cove’s mission, value, and vision statements.

The Cove establishes a firm message of wanting to help better young adults and kids of all ages.

By learning the message The Cove wants to get across, it is much easier to find an identity with organization and it helps us be able to work with each other in making The Cove a well-known non-profit organization.

Next we looked at the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the company.

This first look at the company helped us decide what we needed to do in order to help the company and where we can go from here.

 

 

 

 

From here our group will begin to work on how we can help the organization and establish the key publics which will help awareness and more involved activity with the Waco community.
