Shadowing Experience

Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital – Student Observation (12 hours); Wheaton, IL Summer 2014
• Shadowed physical therapists working on the neuromuscular floor; Parkinson’s, MS, and post stroke patients

FYZICAL Therapy Group – Student Observation (85 hours); Naperville, IL Summer 2014
• Observed scoliosis specialist, dry needling, soft tissue massage methods, facilitated exercise regimens

Baylor Physical Therapy – Student Observation (85 hours); Waco, TX September 2012 – September 2013
• Observed E-Stim, ultrasound, and Graston tool massage modalities, musculoskeletal exercise treatments

Legacy Physical Therapy – Student Observation (35 hours); Naperville, IL May 2013 – July 2014
• Instructed resistance training exercise class, administered range of motion and balance exercises and shadowed
Berg Balance Scale evaluations, performed massage therapy on patients with edema in lower leg and ankle

Southwest Sports Medicine, Hillcrest Hospital – Student Observation (10 hours); Waco, TX Winter 2012-2013
• Followed patient through first 5 weeks of post operative ACL surgery, assisted in Thera-Band exercises
