Music has been used as a form of humor for a long time. Artists have been known for their occasional funny songs, such as Johnny Cash’s “A Boy Named Sue,” or whole careers based on parody humor, such as Weird Al Yankovic. The Frances G. Spencer Collection includes several humorous pieces of sheet music from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This site includes a collection of 25 songs showcasing various forms of humor.
