Get to know a bit about the current saxophone students at Baylor.

Graduate Students

Jacob Bowman

Jacob Bowman is a second-year graduate student working towards a Master of Music degree in Saxophone Performance. From 2019-2023, Jacob studied at Lee University with saxophone professor Clint Schmitt and composition professor Dr. John Wykoff, before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree with an emphasis in Music Composition. After Jacob graduates from Baylor, he plans to pursue a doctorate in Music Theory Pedagogy and find a job teaching music theory and saxophone at a university. When not practicing or teaching saxophone, Jacob loves being outdoors rock climbing, bouldering, and playing ultimate frisbee or disc golf.

Seniors 

Lindsey Collins

Lins is a senior Music Education major from Marcus High School in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She is currently a brother in Kappa Kappa Psi and teaches lessons at China Spring High School. She plans on graduating in the fall of 2024 and pursuing a master’s degree in Saxophone Performance. When Lins is not practicing, she loves crocheting and hanging out with her friends!

Jackson Sandre

Jackson is a senior Music Education major from Round Rock, TX and plans to graduate in the Spring of 2025, after student teaching in the Austin area. Jackson has performed with the Baylor Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Golden Wave Band, and both the Script and Kismet saxophone quartets, the latter of which he is currently a member of. He has studied under the likes of Greg Wilson, Jessica Voigt-Page, Matthew Singletary, and Dr. Michael Jacobson. Outside of his studies, he enjoys going to concerts, cooking, and hanging out with his family, his friends, his girlfriend Jo and her cat Bubbles. Jackson is a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi honorary band fraternity.

Brianna English

Brianna English is a third-year undergraduate Saxophone Performance major with an English minor from Yulee, Florida. She was the drum major for two years at Yulee High School and she was involved in concert band, jazz band, drumline, and winterguard. When she graduates from Baylor in 2026, she plans to join an ensemble and teach private lessons. 

Brady Parker

Brady is a Junior music education major from Waco, Texas. He graduated from Midway high school and is currently a member of the Golden Wave Band and the Baylor Jazz ensemble. He plans on becoming a middle school band director after graduation.

Hilton Bryce

Hilton Bryce is a music education major from Mansfield, Texas. He attended Legacy High School. Hilton plans on teaching private lessons throughout college and when he graduates, he wants either to take on a teaching job or to continue school and get a master’s degree.

Alexander Granados

From Duncanville, TX, Alexander Granados arrived at Baylor University with a saxophone in hand and a passion for music.

As a sophomore, they are pursuing a major in Music Performance . Having received prior saxophone instruction from the esteemed Roy Allen Jr., Alexander now continues to refine their skills under the hands of Dr. Michael Jacobson.

With roots at Duncanville High School and now a member of the Baylor Wind Ensemble, Alexander is committed to imparting his knowledge through teaching during his years at Baylor University and aspires to pursue a career as a saxophone professor in the future. Follow their musical journey as they make harmonious waves at Baylor University.

Robert is a Sophomore music education major from Waco, Texas. He graduated from Midway High School and first found his passion for music at Rockford High School in Michigan. Robert plans on obtaining a master’s degree and becoming a high school band director.
