Lisa Shaver is Associate Professor of English at Baylor University, where she teaches courses in rhetoric and professional writing. Her research and publications are in the areas of women’s rhetoric, writing across the curriculum, professional writing, and literacy studies. Her work has appeared in College English, Rhetoric Review, Pedagogy, and the Journal of Business and Technical Communication. Her book Beyond the Pulpit: Women’s Rhetorical Roles in the Antebellum Religious Press was recently released from University of Pittsburgh Press.
