I am interested in learning more about ancient shooting techniques. You will find under my “links” section of the home page a video demonstrating some of those techniques. I grew up learning to shoot like most Americans: shoulder to the target, feet spread, one arrow at a time, aim, release. Honestly, I do not know a thing about any other techniques. I will share what I learn on this website.

Have you done any studying on how to make your own traditional bow?
I’m interested in making my own long bow.
I haven’t looked into it a whole lot. All I know is that the English used the Yew tree. Supposedly the wood has a stiff core and supple tissue that gives it a large degree of power. That is what I have heard, anyway.
