About

My name is Grant Morgan, and, as of 2016, I’m an associate professor at Baylor University in the Educational Psychology Department. I started at Baylor in 2012 after graduating from the University of South Carolina with a Ph.D. in educational research and measurement. Although I’m generally curious about many areas and aspects of life and education, my primary methodological research focuses on latent variable model estimation under all sorts of conditions that are likely to arise in empirical studies. Currently, I have been studying the accuracy with which the number of mixture components can be identified using mixed mode and/or nonnormally distributed indicators. I also have research interests in multilevel modeling, nonparametric statistics, and item response and Rasch models.
