Yesterday I had a meeting with my former residency preceptor to talk about job prospects. Both before and after seeing him I was ale to spend some time in the administrative office talking with the administrative assistants as well as other individuals who passed through the office.
After spending a little over six months at my residency site everyone really begins to feel like your work family. You see them everyday, you know what’s going on in many of their lives and they know what’s going on in yours. Leaving in December to come back to Baylor was definitely a little sad. I really had a wonderful time getting to know everyone and am always excited if and when I get to stop by and say hello. Needless to say it was a wonderful morning just seeing so many familiar faces and quickly catching up after saying hello.
My meeting with my former preceptor also went well! We spent some time talking about potential job opportunities and I’m very excited about them. I’m looking forward to seeing how things turn out and it was a very positive and optimistic meeting about what I may soon be doing after graduation. Hopefully I’ll have it all planned out soon!
