I’ve loved mathematics for as long as I can remember. When I was little, I used to say that I wanted to get a Ph.D. in mathematics because I wanted to know everything there is to know about math. While I now realize the naivety of that goal, I still love the subject dearly. I began studying for my doctorate in mathematics at Baylor University in August 2013. My interests are still varied, but I focus my research on mathematical physics, specifically the topicĀ of spectral statistics on quantum graphs.

I am passionate about education. I’ve grown up around college students and I’ve always loved interacting with people and growing intellectually. I value interdisciplinary interactions because I think being well-rounded is healthy for the mind. I also care strongly about mentoring young women in mathematics and related fields. I am drawn to opportunities that allow me to pursue all these things alongside my personal mathematical undertakings.

I love cheering for my Baylor sports teams, particularly football and basketball. I am constantly working on building both my movie and game collections. There are very few movies I don’t enjoy, but I have a particular love of Disney and Marvel. I play all sorts of games, including board games, card games, video/computer games, and more. Recently, I’ve also been trying to be more active by learning how to rock climb and roller skate.
