Moving… Again…
3 08 2012Yes, I am moving again.
As a person who strongly dislikes moving, I moved multiple times during the last four years when in the States, twice in St. Louis, once in College Station, three times in Waco and then to Conroe. Now I’m moving again, back to Waco. Though I know this time I’m moving back to a school and friends I like, the process of packing and unpacking is always taking forever.
I tried to pack light when I came to Conroe. Two months living in a small apartment, I only had clothes, computer and personal items. Luckily the owner left some of her stuff for me to use. And now, two months later, I’m packing up and leaving Conroe next Tuesday. The plan is to stay in Austin for a couple of days and then go back to Waco to move to the new apartment.
At the moment of leaving, I feel like this two months working in TETRA is really short. I met great people in the company, had a supervisor from whom I learned a lot from and made some personal friends. The most important part is that I can finally utilize the knowledge I learned from Baylor. Before I joined TETRA, I asked an alumni who works in TETRA about what do I need to prepare for it. He mentioned that all the course works we took are enough. Though oil gas service industry is somewhere I’m not very familiar with, the basic knowledge I learned is enough to help me read through industry report, annual report and other analysis. Then with the help of the experts in the company, slowly I got a better idea of how to conduct my research. Now when almost everything is wrapped up, together with the experience I learned in this real life case I’m going back to my MBA study. I’m ready for the next step, a better MBA experience.
