Thesis statements are something that I think everyone has a hard time with. I personally struggle to construct a solid and clear thesis statement and continually rehash my thesis statement while I write my essay making the mistake of designing my thesis in accordance with my support and examples rather than catering my examples towards the thesis. As a result my argument is sometimes skewed or different from my original argument. The best advice i received was to use my thesis as a road map to guide my essay and provide appropriate support and effective rebuttals. Also establish a clear thesis at the beginning and later modify it whilst ensuring the original claim or points are intact.
